Everything about this newsletter was perfection! I feel that I will be re-reading it every morning this week as a not-so-subtle reminder to myself. I especially connected with the idea of having goals less as an end-all and more as a place to focus your energy.

Thank you so much! Yes, I think that it ties in with living more in the moment as well. If we get caught up chasing our dreams, we're so focused on the future we risk losing the present moment, which is really, the only moment in time we ever really have. Thank you for your comment!

This hit on a personal level. Thank you for sharing. I especially connected with "the predator after my own dreams." I just turned 40 this past June, and it was almost an out-of-body experience. Those questions of accolades and social deadlines are heightened leading up to and arriving at milestone birthdays. It's amazing how socially conditioned we are by the collective calendar. I appreciate your vulnerability to connect on this level.

Absolutely. It's so sad to think that rather than rejoicing that we've made it this far, we instead get so bogged down looking at what we haven't achieved as per "the status quo's perquisites." We should be getting plaques every milestone birthday. Making it to 30, 40, 50, etc. in this WILD existence is an achievement! I would love to see a shift in the mentality towards getting older and a disregard for accolades. Getting to experience it all, the good and the bad, can be such a gift if we try to look at it from a different perspective. I wish we could see it that way more. Thanks for your comment!

I think the shift starts with conversations like this post. This is beautiful. Age is a gift. And we are more than just cogs in the wheel of society. The more we lean into a more holistic existence, the closer to the shift we get.
